What are the differences between Riffstation’s web, desktop, and iOS apps?

We currently have three separate Riffstation apps available.

Riffstation Desktop
Riffstation all started with our desktop app. Our desktop app works with audio files on your computer as opposed to Youtube videos. You can load in any audio file from your computer and Riffstation will automatically detect the chords and display the chord diagrams in sync with the music. You can also slow down the music, change the pitch, isolate or mute guitar parts, loop specific sections and sync a metronome. Riffstation-desktop doesn’t currently display ukulele or piano diagrams but we hope to introduce them in a future updates.

Riffstation Desktop is a download-only application for mac and pc. You can purchase Riffstation for a $34.99/€29.99. There is no subscription fee. You keep it forever!

Here are the trial links if you would like to try Riffstation:

You can find more information about Riffstation-desktop here and purchase it here.

Riffstation Web
Search for any song in the world and see the guitar, ukulele or piano chord diagrams synced with the music video. Our web app is free to use. Signing up allows you to process new songs and store songs in your songbook.

Riffstation iOS
Riffstation iOS works similarly to Riffstation web in that it works with Youtube videos as opposed to audio files. You can also also sync a drum machine and change the bpm. You can check it out for free in the app store here!
